Blindscape
A new android app game in Google Play Store made by developer Gavin Brown. This is a game that takes place entirely through sound; Blindscape is a piece of experimental storytelling. The narrative is told from the point of view of a man in an authoritarian society who wants to escape his life by ending it. He was really amazed on what he finds on his way and journey for searching it. This narrator has really a good voice. He was just so perfect for this kind of game.

Features

  • Stunning HD graphics (sound effects)
  • Up to ten minutes of game play
  • Some guy talking at you
  • No In-App Purchases, ratings nagging, or other interruptions
  • No badges, achievements, or social media integration
  • Makes you feel like a sophisticated patron of the arts
  • A serious, emotionally involving plot line
  • Look silly while you poke at the screen trying to find things

  • Game Play of Blindscape

You are a blind protagonist in this game and is played entirely by storytelling. All you need to do is to listen to what it says. The narrator will gonna command you to do things like walking, opening a door and other stuff. When you’re walking, all you can hear is footsteps and the sound it created. If he commanded you to open the door and you missed the door knob, the narrator will say “Aw, Ouch, Mmm, Not that”. This is the way that he tells you that the one you tapped in not the right thing. You need to hit anywhere on the screen where a possible action can be done. And if you happen to make it on a scene that you don’t know what to do, there is a Hint in the lower left to guide you.

    Graphics

All you can see in your monitor is black screen. There is no image or any videos you can see. All you need to do is to listen in this game because you are blind.

    Game Items

There are actually no items in this game. You don’t need to collect items to proceed. Just follow the narrator what does he tells you to do.

    Hint

This is really a helpful tool in the game. I’ve used this tool when I don’t know what to do.

    Comments and Reviews of Blindscape

  • Tony Acosta : Beautiful & Timeless The game has beautiful voice acting with great sound effects, it needs characters you can interact with maybe speak too & have the choice of what you say effect the story line it's such a great story but has such a short & sudden end, if only the game was longer...
  • Grayson Terry : Exceptional I love this game, it is not only creative buy the story is interesting as well as entertaining (bit depressing also) the only thing I ask is release a longer version. I don't care if I have to party for it I still would.this game deserves more attention.
  • Yoana Hernandez : So awesome ( make more !!!!) I really loved it because it made me feel like I was there seeing every moment and the sound was great I love the theme song too :-D
  • Jasper Ebron : Excellent game This is the best phone game i played recently and nothing will top it for a long time. Its the experience you get in the game making it different from anyother game
  • Jonathan W : Sir, I think your on to something big! This is so unique I can't describe it. My mind just exploded with ideas with this concept. You might have just created a new category of gaming that real blind people could enjoy! I was looking for some dungeon crawlers earlier, but could you IMAGINE playing a creepy dungeon crawler or a silent hill type game this way??? Intense..
  • Soung Won Bark : (50/5 stars)A game that lets you have fun and experience but isn't a game! I was surprised that this kind of game existed!This is the first game(or app) i played that really moved me.The game takes you to a short 10 minute journey about a man who is done with his life and you must help him end himslef.Interacting on the real world by sound and a black screen,experiencing what the character felt throughout his short life,this really caught me emotionally!I would pay for a sequel or something please! (; (; (;
  • Asher Braaten : Wow. Just wow. There's the onslaught of games that try to lure you in and keep you in a monotonous loop of activity, and then there's those that create an emotional connection. Blindscape just blew my mind, and left me near tears. If there is a critique it would only be that it wet my appetite, but left me wanting more, oh so much more.

    Tip

I advise you to play game using your Head Phones. About the game, this is really easy to play for all you need to do is to listen whatever the narrator tells you what to do but there are things that you don’t know what to do so don’t hesitate to press the Hint Tool in the lower left screen. That’s it. Enjoy the world of a blind protagonist.
